ECO Standard Consult develops Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) Type III for construction products based on a conducted LCA study and specific product rules according to ISO 14025 and EN 15804+A2.
Construction products are assessed using uniform product category rules (PCR). The European standard EN 15804+A2 provides its own PCR for EPDs of construction products and ensures the use of the same LCA rules, so that information on many different products can be combined to determine the environmental impact of a building.
An EPD should always be verified by an independent expert verifier familiar with the specific PCRs.
